When Final Fantasy XIII was released on PC back in October, fans were disappointed and exasperated to discover that the game was restricted to below-HD resolutions.
Though there are fan fixes out there, Square Enix has lived up to its word and created an official patch to solve the issue, which will be released on December 11.
That means that starting from next week you’ll be able to enjoy the very best of grumpy Lightning and friends in 1080p resolution and beyond. Added to the fact that pressing the Esc key no longer immediately closes the game without even prompting you, and the PC version is approaching basic functionality. Terrific!
Though you could (justifiably) go on about how this should have been in the port from the start, at least Square Enix has bothered to fix things.
