Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft’s first expansion Curse of Naxxramas has received the next wing its the single-player adventure mode - the Military Quarter.
In addition, Blizzard has announced that refunds for those who were accidentally charged twice for the previous Plague Quarter content are now being processed.
As usual there’s a bunch of new bosses to fight and cards to earn in this new dungeon level. The stars of the show are the Four Horsemen - Sir Zeliek, Lady Blaumeux, Thane Korth’azz, and Baron Rivendare. Beating these guys will net you the very effective Deathlord card. There’s also a new heroic mode for those that want an extra challenge.
”For those of you seeking out a serious challenge,” explains Blizzard, ”Heroic Mode of the Military Quarter becomes available after you’ve defeated all of the bosses on Normal Mode! Heroic Mode bosses are significantly more difficult than their normal versions, and the Heroic Military Quarter bosses are dying to humble any would-be hero brave enough to face them!”
In addition to the new dungeon Blizzard has kicked off a new Ranked Play season. Getting to rank 20 during August’s event will net you the unique Icecrown card back, and can potentially qualify you for the Championship Qualifier Tournament later this year - the precursor to the Hearthstone World Championship. You can find the full details here.
So that’s the new stuff. If you were unlucky enough to accidentally pay twice for the old stuff, Blizzard is promising a refund shortly. ”On Friday, we performed an automated reimbursement for double-charged purchases made with real money,” the developer confirms, ”and we are in the process of notifying affected players via email. Please note that refunds can take up to 7 business days depending on your financial institution’s policies.”
If you bought the content through the Apple store, however, you’ll have to contact Apple Customer Support - Blizzard can’t help you ”due to billing limitations”.
As always you can grab the Military Quarter for $6.99 or 700 pieces of in-game gold. If you own the $24.99 expansion pass you’ll obviously get it for free. Hopefully there won’t be any launch disasters this time!
