Hearthstone’s next expansion stars two of Warcraft's most diminutive (irritating) and ingenious races. It's called Goblins vs Gnomes, and it comes with 120 new cards to play with.
“Goblins vs Gnomes is going to turn Hearthstone on its head. It introduces a ton of new cards with all-new options for decks and strategies, and we can’t wait to see all the crazy combinations players come up with,” said Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime at Blizzcon over the weekend.
The trailer above gives you a feel for the general tone of the expansion - annoying little creatures and ridiculous contraptions. There's even a Pinky and the Brain-style theme song. You can get a glimpse of just a dew of the new cards that will be on offer on the Hearthstone wiki here. The expansion also adds the new 'mech' minion type and a long-awaited spectator mode.
It's on the way this December for PC and iPad. You'll be able to earn cards for Goblins vs Gnomes through the game's Shop and the Arena, as well as crafting. They'll be in their own packs, seperate from the core game's cards.
