High definition upgrades of aging games can be a fairly mixed affair, but it looks like Rockstar is pulling out the stops for Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC and current-gen consoles.
A new gallery on Imgur takes images from the HD upgrade’s recent released trailer and sticks them next to shots from the PS3 version. Warning: contains NSFW yoga.
It’s the improved lighting and shadow effects that most obviously catch the eye, but that next-gen labrador is looking fairly sharp too. We don’t know exactly what extra goodies we’ll find in the upgraded release, but just the simple addition of new wildlife and flora into GTA5’s environments should make the game’s world feel (even) more alive.
GTA5 comes to PS4 and Xbox One on November 18, with PC users having to wait until January 27 for their turn.
