In the wake of the leaks for Ubisoft's new major Assassin's Creed, the publisher has decided to officially confirm its existence and has released a 'sneek peek' with pre-Alpha footage of Assassin's Creed: Unity.
It confirms the setting is France during the French Revolution but offers no more specifics than that, such as whose assassin's boots we'll fill. It does give a "Holiday 2014" window.
Despite being only pre-Alpha footage it's shaping up rather nicely already. You'll remember the French Revolution as that bloody period between the Croissant nobles and Baguette peasants.
The end of the sneek peek trailer has symbols for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Another Assassin's Creed game is said to be in the works, named or codenamed Assassin's Creed: Comet - no word from Ubisoft on that.
