Bohemia Interactive announced yesterday that its open-world zombie survival title DayZ will be going up in price - from 23.99 EUR/ $29.99 to 27.99 EUR/ $34.99.
Along with that rather unwelcome news, the studio also revealed its development plan going forward into 2015.
The price point shift “is part of a gradual price change as we progress with the development and reach the goals that we along with your help set for the project”, according to Bohemia. They’re increasing it in stages, rather than bumping it all the way up when the game leaves Early Access.
You’ll be able to grab Day Z for the current price during the Steam Exploration Sale, which lasts until December 2. When the game’s ready to release in early 2016 the price will cap out at 39.99 EUR / $49.99.
