Double Fine's Broken Age is no longer just in the hands of its Kickstarter backers as it now gives itself over to the hulking PC masses to digest. It received one last beta patch before release.
Joe public will never know the horror of having to click to open inventory, instead of just mousing over it. Nor the diabolical click-and-hold to interact objects with one another; heinous!
Dialogue is also now mapped to the 1 to 4 keys and the right mouse button is mapped to inventory on Windows and Linux. Plus there are stability fixes and the like.
Double Fine has thanked its backers for their time in the beta trenches for Act One of Broken Age. A new launch trailer has been published by the studio and they're prepping a DRM-free release for Broken Age to release sometime next month. Steam Trading Cards are now also supported for addicts collectors.
