Speedrunning event Summer Games Done Quick wrapped up yesterday, after a week’s worth of high-speed gaming streamed live. The charity event racked up some pretty serious cash, too; $1,232,925.90 in total, donated by over 22,000 viewers.
There’s a lot more information about the event over on the SGDQ tracker site. The average donation to chosen charity Doctors Without Borders was $43.29, while the max was $21,498, donated by an anonymous person who presumably has a lot of spare cash.
Games played include The Binding of Isaac, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric (oh god, why) and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. You can watch a giant playlist of all the speedruns, if you’ve got several free hours on your hands, right here.
