Square Enix confirmed last year that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (the third chapter in the) would be released on the PC. Since then,we haven't heard much about it, and fans had begun to wonder whether the company had abandoned their plans.
Fortunately for fans of grumpy yet battle-hardened warrior women, Lighting and friends are on the way; yesterday Square reassured fansthat a PC version is still being worked on.
“A lot of people have been asking about Lightning Returns on PC & while we can't confirm a release date, don't worry, it is still coming,” reads the tweet in question.
Not exactly the concrete details that people may have been hoping for, but a good sign nonetheless. Final Fantasy XIIIback in October 2014, while sequel Final Fantasy XIII-2 cropped up in December of the same year.
