Runescape developer Jagex Games has announced that it has starting accepting registration for a closed beta for their new game, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends. The game will use the RuneScape license for a collectible online strategy card game.
According to the game’s lead designer Jim Sweatman, “Since Chronicle’s inception we’ve been committed to iterative, agile development. Now, as we prepare for Chronicle entering closed beta next month, we’re incredibly excited to open the game up to more RuneScape fans and those looking for something new to join us in creating something special. In taking the game to the next stage, and welcoming input from a much wider audience, we believe we can create a surprising and genuinely unique experience for all gamers.”
Chronicle: RuneScape Legends will feature hundreds of unique cards that can be used to build personal decks, and for those who want a single player offline experience, a Gauntlet mode will also be included.
Gamers interested in registering for the closed beta, which will be launched in November, can go to the official site here.
