The latest in the long, long line of Final Fantasy games was announced for Xbox One and PS4, with the PC given the cold shoulder. However Square Enix are on the hunt for a PC-minded developer.
Final Fantasy XV could very well end up in some way on PC, as the publisher advertises for an ‘Online Game Planner’ position for ”new online games related to FFXV”. What has Square got in mind?
The candidate would have an ”interest, curiosity, and/or experience with PC games”, reads the job ad. Square is no stranger to online gaming with a PC MOBA on the way. Recently they also ported Final Fantasy XIII / XIII-2 to PC, although it wasn’t a flawless transition.
Will Square leverage a PC version of sorts for FFXV into an MMO? The storyline for the latest in the works since May 2006 is all about a modern-day Earth-like world with warring nations, so perhaps some kind of tactical strategy spin-off?
