Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the cabin, SCS Software drops a new trailer for American Truck Simulator, the spin-off edition of its oddly absorbing Euro Truck Simulator series.
I don’t imagine you need to tell me what this game’s all about. I’ll simply point out how different a simple change of setting makes the game feel; rather than rainy roads in Northern Europe, you’re trekking across sun-baked small-town America, or cruising over the Golden Gate Bridge. It looks grander, somehow, though the basic mechanics won’t have changed much at all. It’s like GTA, expect no-one gets run over or shot with a rocket launcher.
