The latest patch for Stardock’s excellent space 4X Galactic Civilizations 3 has dropped, adding Steam Workshop support. Yes, it’s now surely only a matter of time before some enterprising modder adds Death Stars and Klingon Warbirds into the game.
There’s already a tonne of community created content on there, over 500 items in fact. Here’s a pretty nice Battlestar, for instance, or how about… a robot dog?
You’ll also find hundreds of =Factions]new factions, and I’m sure in the coming month countless other additions will pop up. The 1.1 Update also adds two new difficulty settings, and several UI improvements. Check out the full patch notes here.
If you fancy topping off all that free content with a bit of paid DLC, you can also nab the new Map Pack for $4.99 , which adds 8 new maps. This offers a number of attractive new galactic playgrounds in which to bully people. Founder’s Pack owners get the DLC for free.
