Batman: Arkham Knight’s Batgirl DLC story pack A Matter of Family has been delayed on the PC, unsurprisingly given the game’s high-profile problems on the platform.
”We apologise for the delay and only want to make sure that any content that we offer is up to the standards that PC players expect,” writes publisher Warner Bros. Maybe they should have done that the first time around.
Arkham Knight was pulled from sale on Steam last month, after a disastrous launch marked by frame-rate issues and a host of other technical problems. Sources have since emerged suggesting that WB was informed of the state of the PC port, but chose to push on regardless. If true, and surely someone must have known how shoddy it was, that’s a decision that’s come back to bite them.
”We can also assure you that because of this latest launch, we are modifying the internal review process for all of our games,” WB continues. ”For those who are waiting for the updated version of the game on PC, please know that we are working on this every day. For the players who are continuing to play Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, fixes are continually being made to the game as we await the final updated version.”
The publisher promises an update on the state of play regarding the PC version next week.
