I don't know about being immortal, but Konami hasthat Metal Gear will indeed continue as a series once creator and his team finally leave the publisher behind for good. We still don't know the reason behind Kojima and Konami's falling out, and official lips are remaining tightly zipped.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is out on PC and consoles this September. It's going to be a real end of an era.
