I'm a big fan of the waymixes in free content updates with its paid DLC, but it's a model that does sometimes make things a bit confusing. What exactly am I paying for, and what am I getting for free?
Fortunately, this time around the publisher has released a neat infographic that details all the content coming in a September 24 patch for's Cities: Skylines, on the same date that expansion After Dark goes live.
For instance, you might think that the new day/night cycle would be an expansion feature, but actually all players will get access to it. Likewise, a reworked crime system which has police actually track down and capture criminals will also be added for free.
The free patch adds these systems, butfleshes them out with new night-time leisure options, new transportation options such as taxi services, and lots of other neat stuff.
