Deus Ex: Human Revolution developers Jean-Francois Dugas and Jonathan Jacques-Belletete certainly aren’t afraid to poke fun at their game in this let’s play video from Eidos Montreal.
They reminisce about NPCs’ inability to hold objects properly, big-shouldered characters, difficulties in building the Detroit levels and more. It’s a great behind-the-scenes glimpse at game development, and something I’d definitely like to see more of.
One little tidbit for fans of the first game; judging by the guys’ discussion at around five minutes into the video, chopper pilot and fan favourite Faridah Malik - who could either die or live in the original game depending on how good you were at shooting the people trying to kill her - will be back in Mankind Divided.
”Time will tell,”[/]b the pair tease, when discussing her possible reappearance. Which, come on, is basically a conformation. We’ll find out for sure when Deus Ex: Mankind Divided drops early next year.
