Dying Light’s newest DLC, The Following was already set to be a content update so massive, Techland had to raise the price of the DLC and Season Pass. Turns out there’s also going to be a free update that will add its own wealth of content and players don’t need The Following to get it.
Announced in a new highlight video on the official Dying Light Youtube, this video focuses on the new leveling skill tree that will be added in the update. Players will be getting 250 new “Legendary Levels” that give them access to new equipment, weapons, outfits, etc. From the looks of it, players have to max out one part of their skill tree in order to access Legendary Levels associated with it.
The Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition that was announced earlier this month will come packed with this update already loaded on it, but players who haven’t purchased the Enhanced Edition or the DLC can still download this update for the regular edition of the game when the update is released.
No official release date was given to this update just yet, but Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition comes out on February 9, 2016, so one suspects that the update will drop on or around then for everybody. We’ll have more details on the update as they become available.
