Played Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, have you? Battled a lot of orcs, right? Then you’re responsible for contributing to the deaths of over 5.65 billion of the poor sods since the game launched in November last year.
Who’s the real monster, eh? Eh? The figure comes from an infographic released by developer Monolith, which also reveals some other startling statistics.
Boring one first; Shadow of Mordor players have logged in over 74.6 million hours since launch. Impressive, but dull. What’s more interesting is looking at the various ways they’ve been conducting protagonist Talion’s one man war against Sauron’s forces.
1.3 billion orcs have been killed by their underlings or friends thanks to our hero’s meddling. Over 200 million have been dominated and enslaved. You can’t even leave them alone while they’re enjoying a hot meal - 2.8 million harmless celebratory feasts have been interrupted by the sound of a massive knife repeatedly entering and exiting an orc’s most sensitive areas.
Horrific. Check out some more of the juicy details in the image below. The carnage will continue shortly with the new Bright Lord DLC, which gives the orcs more of a fighting chance by making them tougher and smarter.
