Star Wars: Battlefront is turning heads for certain and is turning out to be the greatest game launch in the history of the Star Wars franchise, as well as the strongest digital launch in EA's history. An open letter from Patrick Söderlund, Executive Vice President of EA Studios expressed gratitude, but also hinted at plans for free DLC outside of 'Battle for Jakku'.

It's certainly an interesting announcement, and while Söderlund left out any details outside of the addition of maps and Star Cards, it's certainly worth taking notice of continuous future free DLC. Certainly it might be cause of joy among the many players who aren't interested in spending $50.00 on the Battlefront Season Pass. It would appear EA intends to deliver continuously outside of premium paid content for the game.
