Given the insane speed at which the previous three games were released, it's not a huge surprise to discover that franchise creator Scott Cawthon is hard at work on Five Nights at Freddy's 4.
Described as "The Final Chapter" of the most popular animatronic puppet horror series in history, Freddy's 4 is due out, fittingly enough, this Halloween. That's October 31, to be exact.
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 dropped this March, a mere four months after Freddy's 2. That makes the seven month wait for the next entry practically an ice age in terms of Cawthon's regular schedule. I wonder what horrors he has in store for us this time?
Though the next game will be the final entry in the cult series, it won't be the last we see of the demonic Freddy Fazbear and his troupe of murderous stuffed animals. Warner Bros has picked up the rights for a film based on the property, which is to be produced by Vertigo Entertainment.
