Early in 2015, a game by the name of Journey of the Light was removed from Steam and the purchasers were given unconditional refunds after controversy erupted and the creator, going by the handle “Lord Kres,” disappeared. The core of the problem was that the game promised seven extensive levels and only provided one unbeatable one. Now it would appear that the Steam handle behind the Journey of the Light controversy has slipped a couple new projects into Steam Greenlight.
The games are Turbo Snake and A.R.R.. Both have videos featuring tech demos and both look like unoriginal derivatives of other older games. It’s difficult to say how, why, or who would think these two games were a good idea from either angle, but more importantly, it points to how remarkably frail the security on Steam Greenlight is to let this slip by after having to handle the backlash of Journey of the Light.
