Indie developer Excalibur Publishing has announced that their retro-styled top-down twin stick shooter Circuit Breakers will be arriving on Steam on 17 November 2015.
The studio calls it ”a trip back to 1980’s arcade style glory” with ”a massive array of interesting weapons and a horde of killer robots.”
Circuit Breakers mixes Robotron 2084 with Gauntlet, as it features four player co-op play, both local and online, with each character having their own distinctive play style. Aldo uses machine guns, Shelby uses shotguns, Samson uses explosives and Tay uses a beam rifle. Each of their weapons upgrade to more advanced, powerful versions as the players progress.
The game will run a mere $9.99 on launch, and will be available for both PC and Mac platforms.
