League of Keepers Allysium might not be the catchiest of titles, but VRS Production is putting a lot of effort into making sure it gets noticed, to the tune of $100,000 in cash prizes. Players will be hitting the far future to take on others in what the developers are calling a massive multiplayer online shooter.
LOKA will have you in control of a technologically-enhanced freedom fighter participating in battles featuring up to 120 players. Victories will give you the chance to to upgrade and rebuild your arsenal, and you’ll have to be able to fix broken technology mid-battle. Over time, more skills and tech will become available, allowing you to customize your character to your liking.

The game will be hitting Steam Early Access soon, and the release will coincide with a cash prize tournament. Running for 14 days, each participant will be allotted 60 hours of playtime to earn as many points as they can manage. First prize will take $40,000, second will take $20,000, third will take $10,000, and the remaining $30,000 will be distributed among the top 50 ranked players.
Parts of the trailer above certainly look rough, but it is an Early Access release, so there’s certainly time for a whole lot of polish. The developers already have plans for Mac and Linux editions, VR support, and additional maps and upgrades. LOKA will hit Steam on July 20.
