Space Hulk: Deathwing has arrived and while it certainly holds promise and many positives, the game has released with numerous technical issues for players. Space Hulk: Deathwing is a First-Person Shooter based on Games Workshop’s classic boardgame Space Hulk. The game is set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000 and was developed on Unreal Engine 4 by Streum On Studios.
Many players have expressed dismay at the technical state of the game, of which the main issues seem to stem from a lack of performance optimization. Some users have reported various bugs and glitches including some game breaking ones that can be fixed by reloading autosaves.
The game was highly anticipated by fans and has received a fairly positive reception even with the current technical issues being experienced. Many of the issues will no doubt be patched out in the coming weeks and it will be interesting to see how quickly Streum On Studio and Focus Home Interactive are able to respond to the issues the game is facing.
This might be of huge importance considering the game’s longevity and replayability will stem from its multiplayer component and for the game to retain a loyal player base, the small technical issues will need ironed out. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for upcoming patches and hotfixes that get released for the game.
