Battleborn’s first DLC character, Alani, has been revealed.
Alani is a member of the Eldrid faction. She uses the power of water to both heal her friends and eliminate her enemies. This is Alani’s biography, as listed on the Battleborn website: ”A member of the Eldrid faction who was raised as a healer, but forced to be a warrior, Alani is all that remains of her order after Rendain’s Jennerit Imperium stole the oceans from her world. As a warrior from a planet with vast seas, Alani’s attacks and abilities revolve around her power to control water to dish out pain, or heal her fellow Battleborn.
Gearbox announced before Battleborn’s release that the game would receive five free characters post-launch. Alani is the first of these characters, with more to arrive over the coming months. Players can spend 47,500 credits on Alani and will immediately receive her in-game once she launches on May 31st. Digital Deluxe and Season Pass holders can not only unlock Alani using a Hero Key, they also get the opportunity to play as her a week early, starting from May 24th.
Battleborn fans also have a Double XP event starting today. If you play Battleborn from May 20th-25th you’ll receive double the experience you would normally acquire on both command and character rank. You don’t even have to play the multiplayer to get level ups as the double experience will also apply in the campaign mode.
Our review of Battleborn will be arriving shortly, so stay tuned for that.
