If you needed a reason to keep on playing Rocket League (and let’s be honest, you sorta shouldn’t because it’s great) developer Psyonix has only gone and set about releasing some brand new content for it.
Set to release on April 26th, Psyonix’s brand new Hoops game mode will release as free DLC for all folks who currently own the game. So I guess that makes Rocket League a racing meets football meets basketball kinda thing now, right?

While the DLC itself is free, Psyonix is allowing basketball aficionados to go that extra mile with some additional premium DLC that comes in the form of the Rocket League NBA Flag Pack.
Costing $1.99 (or regional equivalent), folks who scoop up this add-on will gain immediate access to all thirty official NBA team flags, thus lending a little bit of extra pizzazz to your Rocket Legaue Hoops shenanigans.
Even better yet is the fact that everybody who downloads the free Hoops DLC will receive a special NBA logo flag at no extra cost at all, which can be used straight away. More details on this exciting new mode have been promised to come shortly, but in the meantime why not wrap your eyeballs around the announcement teaser for Rocket League Hoops below.
