What a world we live in where you can beta test patches for theoretically finished games! You can beta test a patch! Let that sink in for a minute!
I mean, sure, beta testing for patches allows you to make sure it’s not breaking games before you give it a wide release, but there’s just something off-putting about open betas for bug fixes. I dunno, maybe I’m just a cranky old man.
In any case, a few new workshop features are part of the patch:
- Super Mutant clutter including meat totems, meat bags and meat cart
- Raider clutter including raider poles, cages and tents
- Abstract and portrait paintings
- Variety of new signs
- More metal and wood doors variants
The scale of Bethesda’s worlds have always made them a breeding ground for technical problems, and Fallout 4 is no exception. The patch notes also mention “General stability and performance improvements” and a whole bunch of very specific quest-related bug fixes. So hey, if you’re affected by something, maybe you’ll find it listed.
You can hit this link for the full list of bug fixes and instructions on how to opt in to the beta. Fallout 4 1.4 should be available to everybody soon. (Though given the lack of major innovations in this latest game you may as well call it Fallout 3.5.1.4! Aw, snap! Just kidding Fallout 4, you’re alright.)
