Whengot closer and closer to release, everything seemed fine. But once players got their hands on the open beta client, thousands of bulky pest controllers helped unearth many a few too many bugs.
With the game scheduled to go live around the start of December, it was eventually pushed back just two days before release, apparently there were just too many problems to work out so close to the big day. Once the finalized release date rolled around, however, it was clear to many that this one still needed a little more time in the oven. With more performance problems than anyone had anticipated, we might be seeing a few patches from here on out. So lets start keeping things neat and tidy.
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Hotfix Patch Update 1.74 Released
Focus Home Interactive and Streum On Studio have released another hotfix for Space Hulk: Deathwing, which brings the game up to version 1.74 and includes the following changes:
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Patch 7
While currently only up in the beta branch, Update 7 brings a new class to Space Hulk: Deathwing alongside system overhauls and changes to solo play.
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Update 6
With the last update launching on the comical day of May 4, update 6 couldn't quite have the same kind of suprise arrival. The latest free update introduces 'Special Missions' that randomise missions and Genestealer spawns to spice things up a bit. Plenty of new skills here, too!
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Update 5
It's been a long time coming, but Space Hulk: Deathwing has finally been given another round of improvements. Whether we'll have a longer gap here on out or not remains unknown. Maybe they're gearing up for some extra content!
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Update 4
Heralding the eventual release of Update 4 after 3 beta runs, Space Hulk: Deathwing's fourth major update brings mass amounts of performance fixes alongside new extended loadouts with 2 new mulitplayer weapons to choose from. Here's the lot;
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Update 4 (beta v3)
Said to be their last addition to the Update 4 beta build before it's good to go live after testing, version 3 of the current Update 4 test bench brings more fixes than anything else. There's AI tweaks to how certain enemies target certain playable classes, and optimizations to an explosion that might have been causing some people a few problems;
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Update 4 (beta v2)
Seemingly not quite ready to go live just yet, we're receiveing a second build of the current Update 4 beta branch. Most of which are considered 'Major improvements'. Let's take a look;
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Update 4 (beta)
Essentially issuing a remaster just months after release, Space Hulk: Deathwing's wish to use an update version of Unreal Engine 4 meant a lot of lighting had to be rebuilt from the ground up.
Up from that, multiplayer spawn times should fall in-line with other players and there's a few new weapons to use when playing with others. You'll have to opt-in for the beta client through the game's properties page through Steam. Here's what's changed:
Space Hulk: Deathwing Update - Hotfix 1.06
In the first of the game's post-release patches, this one focuses entirely on attempting to quell the various performence issues plaguing the playerbase. It's an ongoing process, however, so expect more tweaks as time goes by. You'll need 32GB of temporary space to pump it though. So make sure to question that first if anything goes wrong. Here's the lot:
