You can't expect to launch a money-based simulation without expecting the fans to clamour together to ask for a way to essentially rid your game of what makes it a simulation for the most part. Planet Coaster launched last November, and you'd better believe people have been asking for a money cheat ever since.
Well... there still isn't one. Not in an official capacity, at least. For those willing to do a little sleuthing around, you can find 'cheat engines' that - with a little bit of fiddling - will grant your wishes. But they're not without their risks and certainly not for for those who don't consider themselves good with computers.
Frontier Developments have thrown us a bone, however. Again, not in terms of a money cheat, but at least by adding the foundation of what could become one in the long-run.
Following on from the big Spring Update, Frontier Developments patched Planet Coaster once more in April to allow for a string of cheats to be activated the same way we're all come to know and love from the Rollercoaster Tycoon series - renaming peeps!
There's no telling how long these cheats will stick around within the game, but without giving a time-frame, we can imagine they're hear to stay. But if they're not offering us unlimited cash - what are they doing? There's 10 of them, and they've actually been in there since the Spring Update. They just didn't tell anyone. They've all be found now, however, so they've made their official debut. Here they are;
Planet Coaster Cheat Codes
You may not find the long-awaited, often talked about 'Planet Coaster Money Cheat' here, but why do you need it, anyway? Sandbox mode has no monetary constraints! If you're looking for a money cheat to quickly run through the challenge missions for some easy achievements, you're wasting a solid portion of the game.
With these cheats, however, we could anticipate the infamous money cheat making an appearance for whatever reason in due time. Cheats are now being handled in the classic rollercoaster sim fashion - so who knows what else might get added in further updates. If anything, it may have opened up a hole for modders to do as they please. But if you're not one of them, you'll just have to wait and see what happens.
For now, enjoy your controllable Go-Karts and puke-filled parks or have your security guards come in like a wrecking ball. And remember to check out our own Planet Coaster mod page! We'll be on-hand to update that one should a money mod make its way into reality.
