Funcom has revealed the final release date of Conan Exiles, their Conan The Barbarian MMO, as May 8 2018. It's currently in Steam Early Access and will leave it on that date.
There's a new trailer below and all the details on the release here. Other than its current digital release Conan Exiles will also be available boxed too, thanks to Koch Media. The Day One edition will have a special print map and in-game item, and there'll be a Limited Edition as well.
Funcom have this to say about what will be new about the launch version:
"The version we release at launch will have even more content and gameplay in it than what you see today, and will have a landmass more than double the size of what we started out with on PC Early Access launch. In fact, we’re adding the volcano area and an entire new jungle biome. We’ll also roll out a completely remade combat system, and new gameplay mechanics. All of this will be included and available to everyone who bought the game before launch and from launch onwards."
Funcom also wanted to thank Early Access players, reminded that everyone who buys the Early Access version will get the game cheaper and will have full access to the final release, and had this to say about what's to come before May:
"The fact that we’re getting closer to launch certainly doesn’t mean that we’re done with the game. We still have several months of Early Access/Game Preview left, and we’re working hard on improvements and bug fixes in addition to new content and features. We’ll keep supporting and adding more content to the game after launch — the Exiled Lands will be a living, breathing place!
Thank you for being part of the Conan Exiles community, and last but certainly not least, thank you for providing us with your invaluable feedback and helping us making Conan Exiles a better game."
