Just because the main press conferences are over, doesn't mean E3 doesn't still have a few tricks up its sleeve. Team17 have used the free time of E3's first official expo day to debut a brand-new trailer for Genesis Alpha One. It may not be the biggest news on Earth - or any hospitable nearby planets - but the trailer itself introduces the articifical intelligence designed to pilot these human colonists on their way to save their own race. It's all starting to feel a bit Alien, isn't it?
Genesis Alpha One Was Announced Back In February
Between customising the ship designed to take you on your grand colonisation mission, Genesis Alpha One employs a randomly generated universe promising to house viable farmland, clone creatures and, most importantly, alien infestations. Space is bleak, undiscovered and generally mysterious. If humankind isn't given a chance at an early grave at the hand of a higher being, what hope is there for the universe? While we can't imagine sowing the seed of human DNA into the universe is a great idea with Earth having been destroyed by the very same species, it's a 'social experiment' that could see the extinction of humankind become a space meme in real life. That's a thing, right? Aliens have memes. There's no release date on this one. Wait until humanity crumbles some more.
