It's been a long time coming, but Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is close. So close, in fact, that there's an open beta planned to give you a taste next month. Why it's being offered as a beta as opposed to simply calling it a single-player demo is anyone's guess, but we can imagine the team is using it as a way to suggest users contribute with bug reports and soak up the idea of being one of those special people to play a game post-release. While the game itself will release on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in April, it's only the PC version that will see this early build of the game two months early. Sign-ups are now open ahead of the February 3 commencement date of the initial testing period and will feature two single-player missions - 'Cut Off' and 'Blockout'. Tour The Georgian Slaughterhouse In This New Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Video Walkthrough The first mission - Cut Off - sends Jon (our player character) out to infiltrate a compound believed to be controlled by The Separatists. With them in possession of a large antenna array, Jon hopes to 'cut off' their tracking signals and use them to find a lead on the whereabouts of his both. Blockout, on the other hand, has Jon return the favour of information with a kill to bring justice to Georgia. Though beta sign-ups began yesterday, it's an open beta test; so it shouldn't matter if you're a little late to the queue. Head on over here to sign up, or for a few more trailers. |
