It's been a long time coming, but Freddy Voorhees is finally getting a new lease of life. Friday the 13th: The Game will officially launch on May 26.
Going from Kickstarter to a few delay, a couple of beta tests and now to the final release date annoucement, it's been a long road for those who were pitched, and subsequently backed, the multiplayer survival horror affair.
Originally scheduled for an October 2016 release, a few minor setbacks see Friday the 13th: The Game finalizing a date that's a little off the mark for those who threw 25 bucks at the project - but the long wait only makes things sweeter, right?

Being a 1v7 competitive multiplayer title, you can think of this one a little like Evolved. It isn't a team against another or a group of players fighting a common goal - it's 7 folks attempting to survive against another who's controlling one of Hollywood's most prolific killing machines - a guy who wears a hockey mask and deadstop a car with his bare fists; yet also one who can get knocked out cold by a baseball bat the legs.
Choose your victim or be the victim - it happens whichever way you go about things. Friday the 13th: The Game arrives May 26. You can grab it directly through Steam or pre-order through the original Kickstarter while making your way through a multitude of behind-the-scenes videos. Even the trailer screams 80s VHS tape.
