The next strategy game from Passtech Games, the makers of Space Run, has been announced by publisher Focus Interactive. Masters of Anima sees players take the role of avatar character Otto, who can summon up to 100 units to fight for him against the evil Zahr. The game seems to share some similarities with the Overlord series or Double Fine's Brutal Legend.

From the creators of the well-received Space Run, Passtech Games, Masters of Anima is due out Spring 2018. Players will take control of Otto, an apprentice of Anima, who sets out to save his fiancée Ana who has been captured by the evil Zahr, that classic gaming trope. Otto can summon up to 100 Guardians to take on Zahr's Golems in epic strategic battles.

We don't have much more information than that at this time, even if it has multiplayer or not, but from what we can gather Masters of Anima seems to be a strategy game where players take control of a single avatar character (Otto) and commands troops into battle, like in Overlord or Brutal Legend, or even Dungeons 3.
Space Run was a neat twist on the tower defence game and has a Very Positive rating on Steam, but our reviewer Joe Donnelly wasn't that fond of it, saying that the game became "far too repetitive, far too quickly."
Masters of Anima will be out Spring 2018, and we'll have more information as we get it.
