If for some reason you’ve never played For Honor before, then prepare yourself because come May 3, 2018, Ubisoft will make it possible for gamers from around the world to play the For Honor Free-To-Play weekend.
The idea is to attach the free-to-play label to For Honor from May 3 to May 6 on current generation consoles and Windows PC. We’re not just talking about the multiplayer component here, but the entire game.
This is great, especially if you have friends who are also interested in playing For Honor. You see, the game is playable in campaign mode with another friend via co-op online, and like always, players will get the chance to choose from 12 heroes who have unique abilities and attributes.
For Honor has been on the market for quite some time, and for the last year, Ubisoft has released several updates to keep the game active. With this new free-to-play plan, the idea is to get new players into the world and to give older players a reason to return.
"With the introduction of five seasons worth of content and the recently deployed dedicated servers, players will be able to experience the most stable and balanced version of the For Honor experience." said Ubisoft in a press release sent to us today.
The return of the Warrior Training Program
The Warrior Training Program is making a comeback, and for those who aren’t certain what this is, well, it’s all about rewarding players who work together. It’s a good way to encourage team play, so time will tell if it works.
Here’s the thing, if you’re a seasoned player who plays five matches with newcomers who are part of the free-to-play initiative, then expect to gain two weeks of Champion Status that is worth around 8,000 Steel.
It will also deliver a boost in XP, so there’s a lot to gain from May 3 to May 6.
A nice discount
Now, the folks who enjoyed the game after May 6, and would like to continue playing, will be offered the chance to take advantage of up to 75% off discounts on For Honor. Bear in mind this is only for the digital copy of the game.
