Publisher Saber Interactive and developer Illogicka, alongside developer Ep1tome, have announced that work on a new game based on Paramount Pictures’ horror film franchise A Quiet Place is underway, while sharing the first few details about the upcoming title and its release date.
A single-player, story-driven horror adventure game, A Quiet Place was given a broad 2022 release window and will mark the acclaimed universe’s first foray into video game territory.
A Quiet Place “will deliver an original story and gameplay that captures the compelling suspense, emotion and drama for which the series is famous,” according to an emailed press release. That is, sadly, all we currently know about the upcoming title as far as gameplay is concerned.
- A Quiet Place Release Date: Sometime in 2022
Illogicka, the Montreal-based studio developing it, is comprised of veteran developers who left their mark on the Rainbow Six and Far Cry franchises.
“The A Quiet Place video game will let fans experience the tension of the films with a level of immersion they’ve never felt before,” said Creative Director Hervé Sliwa. “We’re excited to work with EP1T0ME and to team up with Saber Interactive to share this unique vision of hope and horror with players everywhere in the future.”
More information about A Quiet Place, and hopefully its release date, is expected to arrive later this year. In the meantime, you can keep track of the game through its website, which also links to its social media accounts.
