Anthem is getting an update that will implement a couple of changes to its loot, more specifically to the way in which Inscriptions currently work.
Anthem Lead Producer Ben Irving took to Reddit, discussing both the feedback received from players thus far and the way these loot changes will affect Anthem's items going forward.
What Changes Are Being Made To Anthem's Loot?
Anthem players have complained about the usefulness of Inscriptions and developer Bioware is moving to address the issue. Starting either today, February 28, or tomorrow, March 1st at central US time, Inscriptions will be more useful, providing bonuses for either the weapon they're attached to, or the Javelin. This removes the possibility of getting increased pistol damage on assault rifles, for example. These changes will only apply to new drops obtained after the update goes live.
Uncommon and common items will be removed from level 30 loot tables, which everyone probably agrees is a welcome loot change, while Anthem's Masterwork items will cost 15 masterwork embers to craft instead of the current 25. This should make it easier to obtain more Masterwork items, as you seek the desired Inscriptions.
Irving's Reddit post goes into further detail on how the upcoming Anthem loot update changes will impact Inscriptions. Essentially, the pools of Inscription options available to roll on items will be smaller and made to target specific item types which, in turn, would lead to a higher chance of getting useful ones for your gear.
