Ubisoft today announced that it has pushed to live servers a hotfix that addresses the critical bug encountered when starting Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s A Seer’s Solace quest.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla patch 1.0.2 essentially made it impossible to start A Seer’s Solace, as the cutscene tied to doing so wouldn’t trigger after it went live.
Although it’s a quest encountered early on, players who set off to explore the game’s first region ended up in a situation where the only way to progress past the bug would be to restart the game, potentially losing hours of progress.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla A Seer's Solace Hotfix
The recent hotfix removes the Seer’s Solace bug, which means that those affected can continue their AC Valhalla playthrough without starting over Eivor’s adventure.
“This is to let you know that we deployed a server-side update earlier today that should allow players to proceed with the Seer’s Solace quest. Thanks for your patience while we worked on this fix.” reads a post on the publisher’s forums.
It also recommends fully restarting the game and completing the quest right after booting it up again.
Despite this serious bug and many other issues being reported, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla had twice as many active players as Odyssey on launch day.
We’ve also prepared quite a few guides, including one on the Rygjafylke treasure hoard map.
