After its initial release, Battalion 1944 received a somewhat milder response than the developers had perhaps been hoping for. Sitting at a mixed review ration on Steam, there was little hope of growth in the saturated market we are now dealing with, and so the devs got started on, essentially, making everything better.
Their main goal, as per the Steam announcement, was to "entirely revamp [the game's] core competitive gamemode - Wartide," and alongside that, they decided to overhaul entire swathes of content, as well as add some more on top.
