Battlefield 6 is almost here, and while we’ll have to wait until late October for the first season of post-launch content, some bonus skins, cosmetics, and XP boosts are coming with the premium Phantom Edition and the pre-order bonus Tombstone Pack. If you’re specifically interested in extra XP gains to quickly blast into the higher progression levels, here’s what you’re getting at launch.
Via Battlefield Bulletin on X/Twitter, we’ve learned about all the XP boosts which are included in both packs. Here’s the list of XP boosts coming with BF6’s Phantom Edition and Tombstone Pack:
Tombstone Pack
- 60-minute Career XP boost
- 60-minute Hardware XP boost
Phantom Edition
- 60-minute Career XP boost
- 60-minute Hardware XP boost
- 30-minute Career XP boost
- 30-minute Hardware XP boost
In total, all these combined should amount to 5 hours of double XP as soon as the game launches if you pre-purchase the more expensive Phantom Edition. The Tombstone Pack is a pre-order exclusive, so if you pick up the Phantom Edition after launch, you’ll be missing out on its benefits and extra cosmetics.
Standard Edition owners, meanwhile, will only get the Tombstone Pack as long as they pre-order. Jumping in after launch with the basic version shouldn’t reward you with extra benefits.
Remember that, despite all the pre-order bonuses, XP boosts, planned battle passes, and whatnot, BF6’s playable content, including maps, weapons, gadgets, vehicles, game modes, and more, will be completely free like in recent Battlefield entries. If you only care about the military FPS action and actual content, feel free to skip the premium tiers.
Battlefield 6 launches on October 10 across PC (Steam, Epic & EA App), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. There won’t be an early access extra day or two for the Phantom Edition owners, it’s been confirmed.
