Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Battlefield Studios today unveiled Battlefield 6 as the next entry in the long-running first-person shooter series. Although short, its two-minute reveal trailer sets the stage for both the single-player campaign and multiplayer modes of what is now confirmed to be another modern-day entry in the series.
Battlefield 6 is centered around a conflict between NATO forces and those of Pax Armata, a private military company bankrolled by former NATO states who seek to light the fire of global conflict.
Battlefield 6 Reveal Trailer
Battlefield 6’s reveal trailer starts with the President of the United States delivering a message in the aftermath of a “monstrous, unprovoked attack” by Pax Armata.
It is followed by action-packed sequences that showcase combined arms warfare alongside large amounts of environmental destruction.
Although it shares a lot of the spectacle other modern military shooter trailers have, Battlefield 6’s reveal trailer feels more grounded when compared to Battlefield 2042’s bombastic unveiling.
A multiplayer reveal is slated to occur on July 31, 2025, which is when we’ll learn more about the multiplayer maps and modes available at launch alongside other details. Hopefully, this also means that we’ll get a look at proper gameplay footage.
Barring its reveal trailer and the plethora of leaks that resulted from the closed beta, all we have at the moment on what Battlefield 6 is about comes from the blurb on its Steam page:
“Lock & load for the ultimate all-out warfare experience. Fight in high-intensity infantry combat. Rip through the skies in aerial dogfights. Demolish your environment for a strategic advantage. In a war of tanks, fighter jets, and massive combat arsenals, your squad is the deadliest weapon. “
There is no official word on pricing or a release date at the moment, but we expect to learn more fairly soon.
As spotted by Eurogamer, EA seems to have leaked Battlefield 6’s release date in a disclaimer URL that appears at the end of the trailer.
Although the page now returns a 404 error, it initially read as follows: “This promotional offer expires October 10, 2025. Code expires October 10, 2027.”
Since this likely references pre-orders in some capacity, it looks like we could be getting our hands on Battlefield 6 on or around October 10, provided it doesn’t suffer delays.
