Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock is a strategy game we’ve been recommending for years, so it pains us to learn Slitherine will be phasing it out on November 15. That means it won’t be available to buy anymore.
The news arrived on November 7, 2025, letting veterans who hadn’t grabbed all the DLCs yet and folks with the game sitting on their wishlists know there’s a short window to grab the game and all its expansions before they’re gone forever. This includes the PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch digital releases of the game too.
Of course, this doesn’t mean owners won’t be able to access the game and the acquired content past that date. It’s just the typical phasing out which happens with most licensed games eventually, which is why it’s generally a good idea to purchase IP games you’re attracted by before too long. Other examples of similar situations include Forza Horizon games gradually being removed from digital storefronts (due to car and song licenses) and even Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series having to patch some songs out.
As always, Slitherine’s licensing deal with the owner of the Battlestar Galactica IP could get renewed in the future, but better safe than sorry, so grab Deadlock while you can if you’ve been keeping an eye on it since 2017.
As we look to 2026, we’re preparing for the launch of Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, a new take on the famous sci-fi universe which captivated us during our preview time with it.
