Beast of Reincarnation’s release date follows protagonist Emma and her loyal canine companion Koo, as they set off on a journey across far-future post-apocalyptic Japan. February 2026’s State of Play showcase gave us another look at the perils they encounter while confirming that we only have a few months left to wait before joining them.
Set in the year 4026, the action-RPG boasts a fairly distinctive aesthetic, blending organic and mechanical elements with ravaged environments that retain a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.

Beast of Reincarnation’s release date is slated to occur on August 4, 2026, as confirmed by publisher Fictions and developer Game Freak.

Beast of Reincarnation Gameplay
Beast of Reincarnation puts “humanity’s only hope” in the hands of outcast Emma and the blighted dog Koo.
Born corrupted by blight, she has the ability to “fuse with plants” which enables her to “freely manipulate her hair” greatly enhancing her traversal capabilities.
Aside from jumping across destroyed bridges and scaling high walls, her hair can also be used in combat, granting her an advantage over her foes.
Nevertheless, Emma’s main way of dispatching opponents revolves around using “sword-based actions in real time, while Koo battles by unleashing skills via commands, like in a turn-based RPG.”
Parrying enemy attacks grants the points required to use Koo’s abilities. Doing so temporarily slows down time, allowing us to seamlessly weave Emma’s attacks and Koo’s special moves during battles.
The two characters’ skill trees are designed to synergize with each other, reflecting their strong bond in Beast of Reincarnation’s gameplay.
Although melee combat plays a major role across our journey, we can also use ranged weaponry and stealth attacks to gain the upper hand.
As far as enemies go, we’ll face off against our fair share of creatures resulting from the fusion of plants and animals, as well as deadly mechanical enemies called Golems.
Beast of Reincarnation Price and Platforms
Beast of Reincarnation’s price is still being kept under wraps. We’ll likely learn more about it as we get closer to its release. The action-RPG is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
