Borderlands 3’s Bloody Harvest event has officially kicked off with spooky new additions like the skull puzzle attached to the Easy As Pumpking Pie Challenge.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to solve the Borderlands 3 skull puzzle and complete the Easy As Pumpkin Pie challenge.
Borderlands 3 Easy As Pumpkin Pie Skull Puzzle
In order to tackle the Borderlands 3 skull puzzle and complete the Easy As Pumpkin Challenge, you’ll first need to make your way to Heck, through the Heck Hole opened by Maurice.
Once inside, simply go forward until you reach a church. Step inside and you’ll be attacked by a swarm of ratch which you should have no problem dispatching. Take note of the four Jack-o’-lanterns at the top of the stairs lit up in different colors, as they’re the key to completing the skull puzzle.
Go up the stairs and step into the next room. Look to your right and you should see the four glowing skulls in the first picture. They’re all colored differently for a reason. To complete the skull puzzle, you’ll need to go back, take note of the color on each Jack-o’-lantern (from the left as you’re facing the entrance to the room with the skulls) and pull the skulls with the corresponding colors.
It’s worth knowing that the colors can repeat. Pull the correct skulls four times and you’ll hear the tolling of a bell, which indicates that you have solved the Borderlands 3 skull puzzle and completed the Easy As Pumpkin Pie challenge. Upon failure, you’ll hear an evil laugh, but fret not, as the puzzle is repeatable, provided a trip to the nearest checkpoint or the main menu.
If you succeed, you’ll notice that a crack has appeared in the wall opposite to the four skulls. Go inside and you’ll reach the Ossuary, where a red chest and plenty other smaller ones await with sweet and/or terrifying loot.
