Publisher Tripwire Interactive and developer Torn Banner Studios have announced that Chivalry 2 is getting a free weekend on PC, which kicks off today.
Chivalry 2’s PC free weekend comes after its latest post-launch update introduced its newest 64-player map, The Raid of Aberfell, playable Druids, the Highland Sword weapon, as well as weaponized bees which play into its over-the-top take on medieval warfare.
Chivalry 2’s PC free weekend starts today, March 17 at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET/3 PM GMT, ending on March 21 at the same hours.
Players can download the title on the Epic Games Store at no cost during this time period and sample all of its maps and modes.
Both the game’s standard and special editions will also be discounted by 33% until March 23.
Chivalry 2 launched last April as an EGS exclusive on PC. Since then, it received multiple free post-launch updates which added new weapons, maps, cosmetic items, and more.

It’s also expected to arrive on Steam at some point this year.
Whether you give it a shot now or wait until it arrives on Valve’s storefront, Torn Banner Studios’ latest project does a great job of building upon the legacy of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. Not only that, but its roadmap suggests that there’s plenty more new stuff in store for us over the coming months.
