Publisher Merge Games and developer Pineleaf Studio today announced that co-op RTS DwarfHeim has left Steam Early Access. The title's 1.0 update introduces a new set of features that flesh out its gameplay, including new Thanes that bring unique abilities to the mix.
DwarfHeim's 1.0 update lets players stay in a party once matches conclude and overhauls the game's challenging Survival mode. Blood moon events see you facing new enemy types, while its new UI should make the experience feel fresher for players who've tried the game out during its stay in Early Access.
There's also a new upgrade system for defenses to look forward to, as well as updated pathfinding tools that should help your units better navigate the game's maps.
DwarfHeim is a class-based real-time strategy game, giving players a choice between three different roles. Builders are better suited for players looking to support their allies by healing units but also building defenses and houses.
Miners are all about gathering resources, building traps, and blowing up buildings, while warriors focus on training units and slaying opponents.
DwarfHeim features three competitive and one creative mode and is currently discounted by 30%, in celebration of its full launch.
If you do end up buying the game, its Friend Pass lets you play Survival mode for free alongside pals who don't yet own the game. To get a better sense of how it looks in action, check out its launch trailer below.
