Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer FromSoftware have outlined plans for Elden Ring’s first patches, targeting a set of launch issues.
Patches will be deployed “in the near future” for the game’s PC version addressing mouse sensitivity being too high and Easy Anti-Cheat failing to launch when one’s Steam account name contains multi-byte characters.
The team behind the game is also aware of Elden Ring’s performance issues. Frame drops and stuttering are often mentioned as negative points in the game’s Steam reviews, putting it at a Mixed rating despite its fairly impressive player count.
“We will be constantly working to improve the game so that it can be played comfortably on various PC environments and platforms,” reads a post on the publisher’s website, who recommends updating your graphics card drivers, since it “may significantly improve performance.”
The post doesn’t, however, provide a timeframe for the patches and performance improvements, but it hopefully won’t be too long before they’re deployed.
Elden Ring is out now on PC and consoles. You can grab it from Fanatical, for the discounted price of £41.99/€50.39 or your regional equivalent, as well as other major storefronts.
