There's no shortage of nasty creatures in Fallout 76's Appalachia, as any Wastelander can tell you. One of them is the mirelurk which comes in multiple variants and can be found in a number of different locations.
But where exactly should you start looking for mirelurks in Fallout 76? Here are some locations that are definitely worth considering.
Fallout 76 Mirelurk Locations
A good location to begin your search for the crab-like mirelurk in Fallout 76 is the New River Gorge Resort in the Forest Region. Five softshell mirelurks usually spawn there. Summersville, also in the Forest region, plays host to six more softshell mirelurks.
If mirelurk hunters are more your thing in Fallout 76, you'll find them in these two locations: Hemlock Holes maintenance in the Toxic Valley region during a Defend Workshop event and Lake Reynolds in the Ash Heap region.
The Wendigo Cave in the Savage Divide region is known to host mirelurk spawns and kings. It should be familiar to anyone who's completed the Key to the Past main quest.
Lastly, if you're going for the meanest mirelurks around, you can find queens in the water at Mac's farm and Sunrise Field in the Cranberry Bog region, at The Freak Show, in the Savage Divide, or during Vault Mission: Dead in the Water at Vault 94.
