Fantasy real-time strategy game Godsworn’s act 2 could release in “either December or January,” according to publisher and developer Thunderoak Interactive, who has spent the last couple of months hacking away at the upcoming batch of content.
The update will introduce three new heroes, two of which are only playable in campaign, “for now”, alongside “about” eight units, including the cockatrice, two new skirmish maps, and 16 new glyphs.
Godsworn Act 2 Release Date
When it releases, Godsworn’s act 2 also promises “a whole lot of fixes, changes and improvements,” that help polish the experience as it marches towards its 1.0 release. In addition, we can also expect a series of animation updates.
Speaking of the game’s full version, its developer has confirmed that the campaign will consist of 16 playable missions. Five of them become playable when Godsworn’s act 2 releases, with the remaining six set to go live when it leaves early access.
“We don’t like to promise specific release dates, but we can say it’s looking like the update will be ready in either December or January,” the developer explained in a Steam post. “We know it’s not as fast as we or the community had wanted, but it’s steadily going towards the finish line and it won’t be much longer now.”
Godsworn will also be showcased during the Dreamhack Stockholm event, which takes place next week, between November 28 and November 30. If you plan on attending, you can get a taste of its epic fantasy retelling of the Baltic Crusades.
Barring any unforeseen obstacles, its 1.0 version should release at some point in 2026, two years after it entered Steam Early Access.
